The inspiration behind this flavour creation was born out of a love affair with rosemary and thyme and the way they paired with the creamy profile of nuts. Both herbs are part of the Lamiaceae family (along with mint) and are a match made in culinary heaven.
There's nothing delicate about the flavour of rosemary. It's strong and powerful with a taste that is unforgettable. We knew that its robust and woodsy aromatics —paired with the milder, sweeter profile of thyme —would be a knock-out flavour combination for a new bar nut.
The goal was to create a herbacous five nut blend with a little kick from cayenne pepper and the right amount of saltiness to enhance the savoury flavours even more. Roasting the nuts in organic coconut oil delivers a delicious tropical scent and flavour. This new blend is the perfect snack partner to your evening drink, cheese platter or charcuterie board. Ways to Use
- Serve in a bowl as a pre-dinner snack and enjoyed with a grapefruit thyme rosemary fizz.
- These work really well on a platter or charcuterie board.
- Full up an airtight container and enjoy as a snack during the day, even the kids love them in their lunchbox.
Storage:
Once opened, transfer into an airtight container (this ensures they keep their crunch!) and store at ambient temperature in a dark place like a pantry or drawer. For extended longevity, this blend can also be put into the fridge -- although we doubt they'll very last long!
